Originating from Tuscany, Italy, Jacopo had his first performance when he was just six years old.
Currently, apart from being a solo artist, Jacopo is a percussionist for the italian street band Zastava Orkestar, part of the duo Something Strange and part of the project Groundless Society as a drummer in The Netherlands
Jacopo Pisapia composes his own music, creating a new style which can be defined as something between classical and contemporary music, including jazz and romantic inputs, from a percussionist perspective. This music is created to bring the listener in an emotional journey where the soul can float around memories and feelings.
Jacopo has built an impressive resume. In 2014 he played with Siena Percussion Group and Ney Rosauro. He performed with the American drummer Marvin “Bugalu” Smith and the saxophonist David Schnitter in 2012 and was part of the jazz quintet “Beyond Jazz” with Stefano “Cocco” Cantini. He performed as a drummer with “Green Sox” and “Laboratorio Musica Montepescali”.
After studying classical percussion at the R.Franci Conservatory in Siena, Italy, Jacopo obtained a master’s degree in Percussion at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen.
Fine-tuning his skills as a composer in The Netherlands, Jacopo already established a name for himself with noteworthy performances in Tivoli Vredenburg, Utrecht and Oosterpoort, Groningen.
